Inspired by our thoughts, we vibrate like tuning forks. This causes a resonance, or reciprocal vibration, of that which matches our thoughts, which then finds its way to us. One suspects that the well-loved Bible parable about the good shepherd may be symbolic of shepherding our own thoughts in the direction of where we want to go, in order to find peace and joy.

And how might one “shepherd one’s thoughts”?

By being proactive rather than reactive.

Rather than reacting to the litany of injustices heaped upon the American citizenry, or the world, it is more effective to act creatively with passion toward a larger vision.

The question might then be asked, how do we connect with our passion when we are angry about (choose one, make your mark legibly in the box) 1. what Fox News did, 2. what Bush did, 3. what Obama did, 4. what McCain did, 5. what Palin did, 6. all of the above?

And here is the answer: we connect with our exhilarating passion by crafting our vision in a way that keeps us focused on the powerful positives instead of the debilitating negatives.

There are a multitude of things to focus upon in this amazing world. We can only think of one thing at a time, and what we choose to invest our thoughts in, determines our direction.

There are many concrete methods of enhancing this process toward the creation of what is wanted. For those who want to experiment, here are two:

#1: FEEL APPRECIATION:

Begin and end your day, and each segment in the day, with appreciation. This is not only good manners, it “sets” the vibrational tone to a higher level for any interactions that follow. (Dr. Masaru Emoto’s well-known experiments with water are a graphic demonstration of this concept, showing that appreciation is a powerful, vibrational force.)

One way to feel appreciation is to make a list of things that inspire feelings of gratitude. Reading or writing this list before going to sleep will contribute toward setting the tone for the following day. Take note of how you feel before and after you read or write the list. If you feel better afterwards, you have elevated your vibration. The famous segment from the What the Bleep movie, in which Dr. Joe Dispenza describes how he intentionally sets his tone for the day, is a good example. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVFDXFumDks

#2: A THREE-PART LIST

Note that none of these list topics ask “why” or “how”, they only focus on forward direction. Knowing why and how is not our business. Often things come to us in ways we never could have anticipated, but they still come. Clearly knowing what we want, and why, IS our business, because from that clear knowing, springs passionate inspiration. Below are some examples of my own lists, at this moment.

A. What I want:

(Note: These are all stated in the positive. Negatives, such as “no war” are vibrationally counterproductive, and therefore are not used in these lists.)
