"Converter box" has now become a common subject on the tube.
Got to have one, if you lack cable or satellite. Or else HDTV broadcast television is out of the question.
And it seems that my antenna too may be outdated.
My friends, our technology has outstripped our government, our economy, our employment rate, and even our wildest imaginations!
Travel had already blurred the lines of nationality and culture.
Even the dreaded terms "terrorism" or "flu virus" can't halt our journeys.
My journey, understand, is usually a sentimental one, like the song it inspired.
I think I've got it here, somewhere, in the pile of debris that surrounds me in my computerized and highly electronically hyped study.
But, I don't know.
Can't find it.
It's on a CD, I think.
Or was that a cassette tape?
Ah well, this too shall pass.
And so will we all, like the wax cylinder, the vinyl platters, the magnetic tapes, and apparently also the "CD."
