In the meantime, those seeking real progressive solutions to the country's many problems would do well to find a way to build bridges and to start crafting a definition of our common vision. I no longer believe this can occur inside the Democratic Party. Nevertheless, the value of unity as a source of power cannot be overstated. We on the left may be suffering from disharmony disease just as much as our more conservative friends in the Democratic Party. Let's find the forums and avenues necessary to begin a serious dialog dedicated to defining our deepest values and the means we see to attaining them.
