The ugly effects of which are already seen clearly in Iraq with a 400% increase in cancer deaths, and tragic birth deformities. The same thing is beginning in the US as well with Iraq veterans.
You can bet your last dollar and expect to keep it that the notion of tactical nukes has been tossed around more than once as well.
Whilst going to these ridiculous, criminal efforts to deny Nuclear energy from anyone else, the US continues to build new nukes such as the RNEP "robust nuclear earth penetrator," the B61-11.
There IS NO WAY to stop nuclear proliferation now.
However the big question is how will the Russian Federation tolerate yet another attempt at "regime change" in Iran?
I suspect it will put us face to face with some pissed off Russians who could take the US in ANY sort of battle forthwith.
The Bush rot could be leading us easily to a direct confrontation with the Russians that the American Military is in no position to fight, much less win.
If it can't win in Iraq, the minor leagues, then TOP of the Major League players is clearly out of the question.
I'd suggest as many letters, emails, and whatever to the White House as humanly possible and fast. Further, all of those General Officers shouldn't wait to hand in their stars.
I'm sure most people have little concern over their careers in possible exchange for mushroom clouds.
As for the American people, "folks, you can't wait until after the fact on this one!" Remember, as Condi and George put it, "We don't want to see the smoking gun in the form of a mushroom cloud!!"
