The reality is that Hillary should stop bashing Obama, causing Barack to waste time countering her, and causing all of us angst over the distractions from what's really important: Both Clinton and Obama touting his and her best, while pounding Johnny “GWB” McCain’s worst.

Oh yeah, sure, right.

Hillary must have been sleep deprived and "mis-speaking" (i.e. lying).  The only unity she cares about is behind HER.

If Obama is the candidate, Hillary WANTS him to lose, because it makes it easier for her to run in 2012 and ends his presidential political future.

All Hillary is about is HER.  If she cared about the Democratic Party she would never have put herself and McCain on one side of the experience line and Obama and "his one speech in 2002" on the other.  If she cared about the Democratic Party, she would never have run the 3 a.m. phone call ad.  If she cared about the Democratic Party she would never have answered "as far as I know" to the question about whether or not Obama is a Muslim (HE ISN'T BTW), but would have answered, "Of course Obama isn't a Muslim.  Not that it would be wrong if he was, but he is NOT, and to imply or attempt to say his is a Muslim simply to try to tie him to those few Muslims who are confused and evil is simply wrong, and should NOT be acceptible."

IF Hillary cared a damn about the Democratic Party or even freedom in America.

But she doesn't.

Oh, Charlie...

If Obama is the candidate, Hillary WANTS him to lose, because it makes it easier for her to run in 2012 and ends his presidential political future.

I agree with and wonder about everything you said except the above.

As skeptical as I am, I find it almost impossible to buy into the above, oft repeated hypothesis.

I don't trust Hillary for one second, but I can't believe she coud be so crass as to do something as risky as that.

Maybe she could; after all she didn't consider the possibility of having any serious opposition this time around.  Maybe, too, she didn't take into account what can happen in four years.  So much could happen to the country under McCain's hair-trigger temper and obvious senile moments.

If such a scheme it true, then there is some deeper than deep "Manchurian Candidate" thing going on here, and no more than a couple of people could be involved, because she wouldn't want too many loose lips to sink her future ship of state.

I'm usually quite open minded and willing to consider even off-the-wall ideas, but that one is beyond me except as a screenplay or novel.

Actions please, not Words, Hillary!

Don't get your hopes up, sandy. 5 weeks ago, after the Texas debate, In response to Hillary's kind words of reconciliation where she said how proud she was to be on the stage with Obama, and how she's going to be okay, and how the party will be unified, I wrote this piece titled Hillary Delivers Great News for Democrats, America.

Then she came out with the shame on you's, the Commander in Chief litmus test, the praise for McCain, and just recently, playing along with the Pastor Wright smear (to name a few).

She can't just wave a magic wand and unify the party after she's demolished it. The longer she stays, the worse it gets. There is no possible way for her to get the nomination AND unify the party. She can only get nominated by maliciously, and Rovianly, destroying Obama's credibility, but even that won't get the job done, because she's already destroyed her own credibility with sniper tales (among other things).

True

You're right, Sarge, but I thought I put a qualifier in the next to last sentence.

Poisonly, I don't expect her to play by the rules, or to even drop out after Pennsylvania when the numbers will be flat out say that she can't beat them...Like the don't already.  That's why she keeps trying to change the rules as she plays the game, and accused B.O. of not playing by the rules when he did and she didn't.

Unless there's a really stronger, saner head that can prevail, she just might drive us into an ocean of division and losing.

If she doesn't stop this mucking around, I'm hoping that the disaffected will simply shrug, say politics as usual and not defect to the dark side.

Sound too Pollyanaish?  Well, like I wrote in a comment to Rob's open thread diary, sometimes -- albeit rarely -- the sky in my world turns a vivid lilac hue.

OMG!

When looking at what was the DUBYA regime, certain words always find their way into the discussion. Words like "hubris", "arrogant", and "credibility" always come up. As I have continued to watch the presidential Dog and Pony show, it seems to me I've been seeing those words a bit more than I'd like. And it seems that they are always being pointed at Hillary.

Look what DUBYA has done to the country. This isn't going to be fixed with a magic wand, as you put it. Only a total fool would think that can happen. The actions of DUBYA, Dick(LESS), and the rest of the Hee Haw gang have brought us to a state so close to the Great Depression, I can almost see a dust bowl outside my window.

And Hillary is doing the same thing to the Democratic party. My goddess, it just recently developed a spine. Let's not put it a Porche and find the bumpiest roads on which to rattle said delicate spine back into the dust from whence it came.

I cheer for the underdog, but there comes a time when you realize that the underdog is going to remain the underdog. Now is that time. Barack would have to die in order for her to have a fair and square shot at the presidency.

If she continues down the Hot Karl path, it's not going to end well for anyone. The last thing we need is another trip down that highway to hell! She sure seems to be holding the accelerator to the floor. I don't see her making a U-turn any time soon, either.

The writing is on the wall. If she continues to ignore it, she does so at her own peril, and at the peril of the Democratic party. It is time that she thought of someone besides herself!

Blessed be!
Pappy
