I don't think I -- or anyone -- should have to say that's acceptable, and live with these things not working the way they should.

I won't even get started on the small appliances that break after a couple of months, or my email that chews up drafts and changes made to the drafts that the nice lady in India who barely spoke English kept tell me "never happens."

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to find the instructions for my bedside programmable clock radio.  I accidently set the alarm for 2 p.m.  It works!  I don't want it to work!  I can't figure out how to stop it from working!

I knew it.  Those damn appliances are out to get us.
