In other words, Putin, known in Russian judo circles for "his wicked sweeping leg throw (Haraigoshi)," is not an opponent to be trifled with.

A writer is a rogue goose. All other gees fly in a flock formation; every goose knows his place and time for honking. The rogue goose is undisciplined. He leaves the formation indiscriminately to have a look at it from aside. He roams back and forth, takes a peep at the leader, honks a little bit from behind, distracts everyone and writes on what he sees. Time passes and as he wants to return back to his place he discovers someone else there. Thus he either has to wait until they land for rest...

Russ

There is a  lot of simularities, of course. But there is one difference: Chechen terriitory as well as many other self-proclaimed 'independent' territories were before a part of the Russian empire. I am not  talking  right or wrong: just facts. There was and is a Russian population in those places. If there was an Emperor in Moscow now he would have claimed those territories with all the right of return.

Iraq was never a part of the US.  There are no  Americans there. It was a blatant agression.  Thus Boris Bush is much worse: he  used the armed forces of our country for his own provate purposes. That's treason.

Thanks, Russ

Chechen  war is a bloody mess and as usual, whoever  keeps in  touch  has his/her own  picture of it.   I was always thinking that  there was and is a lack of criteria in those assessments: in  such cases safety and security of the everyday person  I guess, are to prevail over nationalism and  immediate strife for 'independence'.  Governments are not to build Paradise- they are there to prevent  Hell. We seem to prefer more and more bloody messes: look at the  world and show me the 'interesting places' without bloodshed: not many. Even Wales had problems and ... still has.

Your article is important not because of those  specific Russian details but because of showing that Warlocks are the  same everywhere ( Yeltzin is considered a Warlock in  Russia now).  Does that mean that new President of the US will have to  issue an Executive Order of Bush's impunity as Putin did for Boris:)

Give me a break!

We all agree we don't support President Bush.  The question is, who do we support?  The Democratic Party, which did not keep a single campaign promise (except ending Republican earmark spending, by changing the name and doing it themselves), and has a lower approval rating than the president?  The only Leftist in the country with a right to oppose the president is Cindy Sheehan.  The Democratic Party, and virtually everyone on the Left, has ignored her tragic loss.

I am a member of the Constitution Party.  I support the consitution and oppose violations, including the illegal war in Afghanistan, the illegal war in Iraq, warrantless wiretaps.
