If you have not yet read this speech, and heard it, as delivered by Dr. King himself, I urge you to do so now, while it is available to you here and now. It is an experience you will never forget. And you will understand, far better than before, what was actually going on in the mind and spirit of Martin Luther King.

The entire text of this speech is available at http://americanrhetoric.com/speeches/mlkivebeentothemountaintop.htm,
and you can listen to the actual speech, as delivered by King, at http://publicradio.org/tools/media/player/americanradioworks/features/sayitplain/mlking

To see all of these things in context, please visit The Seattle Times in their Martin Luther King online reference pages at http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/mlk/king/.

Blessings to you. And may God bless us all.

Rev. Bill McGinnis, Director - LoveAllPeople.org

My name it means nothing, my age it means less. My deeds of activism are mine to enjoy and share as I feel necesary, not as some clown in a small forum's administration thinks I must..This place gets worse each and every visit.

America's greatest strength

according to Doctor King in that speech, which is playing as I type these words, is the right to protest injustice. His words ring out over the years and make hollow and silly the words of those on the right who condemn the protester as "un-American". Doctor King will live on in the memories of all who love justice and democracy long after this silly little clown in the Oval Office and his coterie of agendised fascists have been condemned to a footnote of history.

They even killed Jesus.

What really sticks in my craw, whatever that means, is that we had to have Civil Rights Legislation in the 1960's. Seems to me it should have been done after the Civil war, which also tells me since we had a civil war why the need for civil rights?

America is truly a shadow of deceit.

Martin Luther King should have been President. His death reminds me that even Jesus was killed, the Son of God.
