Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me that eating, staying warm and being able to afford medical care when necessary shouldn't be a luxury in this country, but that appears to be the direction we're heading.

Stimuli

I'm not convinced that the object of the Bush tax cuts was not, indeed, to bankrupt us. It fits the disaster capitalism model.

On this go round, the Fed has been cutting interest rates by way of stimulating stagflation. I suppose that the theory governing that tactic is that if you must climb out of a hole, your accomplishment is enhanced by climbing out of the steepest possible hole.
