It grows and compounds in a way we could only dream of for income or investments of ours. The amount shoots to the stars in a flash Senator. We borrow from the same folks Uncle Sam does, we know!! We the People actually know quite a bit more than we get credit for. We know you "representatives" made history by being in session only 90 days.
We know how busy the schedule gets with 65 lobbyists for every Member and even more people to meet and greet, pimping for donations and posing for photo ops.
We know that it is a bad system of good 'ole boy back scratching. We know that no one can change it alone; the current system is too broken. Gotcha.
But the size of the debt, the skyward soaring tab should have caught your eye a little sooner. Oops!
Sorry Paulette Revere, you're too late to sound the alarm on the recession.
For years the Congress has been like spoiled teens with Daddy's credit card, signing off without accounting for the use or impact of committing funds.
Hey, it's only money right? Like the Constitution, just some paper?
Not only has Congress been draining all we have, but saddling us with debt is selling us into servitude. We will work to erase our National debts for a long time to come, maybe generations.
We individual Americans are the biggest losers. With all we have held in our name as a Nation now being sold piecemeal and crumbling.
Does it not count as a loss when our cities and parks, waters and lands are destroyed through waste, fraud, abuse and neglect?
That horse is long gone Hillary. As Wall Street's own Senator it boggles the mind to think there wasn't someone who could have helped you call this recession threat earlier. Live and learn.
Guess what, people who work and pray to pay all the bills don't need GDP figures to understand how things have been going.
Things are not going well and it isn't breaking news to us. Not only do we see it and feel it around us, we talk to one another.
