WHEREAS President George W. Bush and Vice-President Richard Cheney have admitted that they willfully and repeatedly violated the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act and boasted that they would continue to do so, each violation constituting a felony; and,
WHEREAS, President George W. Bush and Vice-President Richard Cheney have violated the United Nations Charter and other treaties prohibiting aggressive war, by invading Iraq without just cause or provocation, and have misled the US Congress by deliberate or negligent falsehoods to obtain the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq resolution (Public Law 102-1); and, Whereas, President George W. Bush has now admitted that his 20-Year "War on Terror" includes a permanent U.S. presence in Iraq and the Middle East, consisting of a lavish embassy and dozens of military bases; and,
Whereas, President George W. Bush and Vice-President Richard Cheney continue to authorize the use of depleted-uranium (DU) munitions in Iraq and Afghanistan, the use of which spreads radioactive contamination to non-targets, including innocent civilians, animals, food and water sources, and the use of which has been declared illegal by the United Nations Subcommittee on Human Rights; and,
Whereas, President George W. Bush has subverted the laws of our nation, in whole or in part, through the use of "signing statements" on more than 1200 occasions, unprecedented in U.S. history,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: the HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NEW HAMPSHIRE GENERAL COURT submits that the actions and admissions of President George W. Bush and Vice President Richard Cheney constitute ample grounds for their impeachment, and that the House of Representatives of the New Hampshire General Court has good cause for submitting charges to the U.S. House of Representatives under Section 603, as grounds for the impeachment of President George W. Bush and Vice-President Richard Cheney.
The House of Representatives of the New Hampshire General Court further submits that Articles of Impeachment should charge that President George W. Bush and Vice-President Richard Cheney have violated their constitutional oaths to execute faithfully the office of President and Vice-President to the best of their ability to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.
In all of this, President George W. Bush and Vice-President Richard Cheney have acted in a manner contrary to their trust as President and Vice-President, subversive of constitutional government, to the great prejudice of the cause of law and justice, and to the manifest injury of the people of the State of New Hampshire and of the United States.
WHEREFORE, President George W. Bush and Vice President Richard Cheney, by such conduct, warrant impeachment and trial, removal from office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any offices of honor, trust or profit under the United States.
Be it resolved further by the legislature of the State of New Hampshire, that our senators and representatives in the United States Congress be, and they are hereby, requested to cause to be instituted in the Congress of the United States proper proceedings for the investigation of the activities of President George W. Bush and Vice President Richard Cheney, to the end that they may be impeached and removed from such office.
Be it resolved further, that the Secretary of State of the State of New Hampshire be, and is hereby, instructed to certify to each Senator and Representative in the Congress of the United States, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, under the great seal of the State of New Hampshire, a copy of this resolution and its adoption by the legislature of the State of New Hampshire. The copies shall be marked with the word "Petition" at the top of the document and contain the original authorizing signature of the Secretary of State.

Nancy is the author of numerous articles on election integrity, including "The Gifts of HAVA: Time to Ask for a Refund," "What's Wrong with the Holt Bill," "We're Counting the Votes: An Election Preparedness Kit," and "Hands-on Elections: An Information Handbook for Running Real Elections, Using Real Paper Ballots, Counted by Real People". Her article about election reform fallacies is included in the April 2008 book "Losers Take All" edited by Mark Crispin Miller.
Nancy believes in the principles embodied in our Constitution, and that groups like Election Defense Alliance and DFNH can play a unique role by empowering ordinary people to do extraordinary things.
Not content with being shamed publicly in the hand recount of Hillsborough County (while Butch and Hoppy filled the role of reality TV for a moment, the election fraud bust was excactly that - a bust), the hand counters NOW want to tie up the Federal legislature (and probably courts) in more utter nonsense.
Ms. Tobi, being a New Hampshire resident yourself, do you really approve of such a waste of time, energy, and money on such frivalous activities? You are aware that Ms. Hall has to get in line before the first articles of impeachment? With that being said, you are aware that this is nothing more than symbolism over substance? And with that being said, you are aware that more pressing matters await the legistlatures of New Hampshire and the nation?
And yet... the solution is still on the prowl for a problem... I'm curious how a New Hampshire representative believes herself annoited to speak for the nation on behalf of election irregulaties, when her own state (1) passed its own recount and (2) needs her attention focused on state and not Federal matters.
Are there impeachment procedures for state reps I wonder...?

More brainwashed sheeple atop a solid mountain of BS
Being from NH myself, I commend the effort. I am also glad I have not had the displeasure of meeting Tom. I suppose the fact that Bush & Cheney have all but burned the Constitution is 'frivolous' to you also? When Marshall Law kicks in, Tom, are you going to be more than willing to gun down your fellow citizens?

Being from New Hampshire also, I condemn the effort as totally frivalous. I also am disappointed that proponents of hand counting haven't apologized for their now-confirmed baseless accusations against the state of New Hampshire, its people, and its election officials. The arrogance displayed by these people was confirmed in the results of the Democratic recount and yet they continue to pontificate about the evils of New Hampshire.
As to President Bush and others shredding the Constitution, how often have you personally been infringed upon, ARPB? My guess is probably never. But you'll claim it WILL happen just like a religious fanatic. And, of course, the end to any good shredding is martial law. Hmmm, and when was the last time martial law was imposed in New Hampshire ARPB?
When you can answer these questions, then you can start thinking about the world in terms of reality and not that of a religious conviction based solely in faith.

It is people of her sort and that of Mr Kucinich, who are attempting to bring the US back out an Imperial desert of its own making, that that country needs as president. And what a striking contrast to Ms Clinton ! The issue obviously is not one of gender or so-called «race», but of policy - war or not war, Empire or Republic. Time to stand up and be counted....

Way to go NH and kudos to Betty Hall, who apparently has more cojones than the rest of the Democratic leadership combined. The New Hampshire resolution should become a model for the rest of the states that are fed up with this administration's contempt for the constitution and the rule of law, or are simply no longer willing to have their health, education and welfare budgets slashed to pay for expensive mercenaries to invade and control the resources of other countries while our own military cannot afford to train and equip our soldiers, feed their families while they are on duty, or pay for their medical care when they come home.
For those of you still loyal to George W. Bush and his cohorts, I suggest you do some independent research. The mainstream news media is no longer reporting real news, simply providing corporate-sanctioned "infotainment". Keep in mind that the three main broadcast networks are now owned by corporations that also own oil companies or military contractors. If you don't believe me, look it up, it is in their quarterly statements filed with the SEC. Also, your local pastor may be a wonderful spiritual guide, but may not be the most reliable source of balanced information about what is going on the nation and the world. Try a British or Australian news outlet, you can get them for free on the Internet.
