It is Time to Make a Real Change

Once our troops are out of harm's way, we can discuss and decide on our priorities. Then we can tell our representatives what they are to work on--rather than letting the corporations and lobbyists set the agenda as they have been doing in the Republican-controlled Congress. This is the real change that must take place in Congress.

"Unless the people, through unified action, arise and take charge of their government, they will find that their government has taken charge of them. Independence and liberty will be gone, and the general public will find itself in a condition of servitude to an aggregation of organized and selfish interest." --Calvin Coolidge

Now is the time to vote for change. After that, we must keep the pressure on by staying active and staying informed. The governing of our nation is too important to leave it to the politicians. We have tried that, and we are now living with the result.

My name it means nothing, my age it means less. My deeds of activism are mine to enjoy and share as I feel necesary, not as some clown in a small forum's administration thinks I must..This place gets worse each and every visit.

The right road

I cannot but agree with your contention and thank you for the terrific quotes as well. It never fails to amaze me how wise our founders were and how well they built. I doubt they could have foreseen an electorate so lazy, disinterested, disgusted and uninvolved as to allow control of our own nation to devolve into the hands of the corporations.

I would only note that, while you do plainly state the need for action after the coming election you carefully avoid deliniating what such work might entail. You say that it is time for a change and I quite agree, but am not as certain as are you that changing the party that controls congress is really changing much at all. Nor am I at all convinced that we the people have access to those within the Democratic Party who can change the course of that once principled and august body, are you?

"It is Time to Make a Real Change"

I don't think changing the party in power is going to change anything. I just hope it gets their attention and shows that they too could get kicked off the gravy train in the next election. We the People just can't go back to sleep after the election. We need to hold discussions via groups such as MoveOn and decide what needs to be done (after ending the wars). I think there has to be some drastic changes made to our election process (public funding or something)/ no more Republican machines, etc... Right now, I am just waiting to see if it is too late, and we will never have a fair election again. We'll see.... mick

Gee a breath of fresh air

here in this bastion of Democratic loyalists.

William A. Niskanen ,the Chairman of the Cato Foundation, not exactly a liberal bastion ( Libertarians all) has noted that he wants a democratic majority in the House this coming election cycle as he believes that our government functions best with two parties in equivalent positions of power. If this doesnt disturb you then I dont know why not.

Mr. Niskanen is a very intelligent and very committed Libertarian and , if he thinks his goals for America will flourish under the two party rule, then I will work harder for a third party.

A grouchy but well-informed know-all with much experience of the low-down low-life infesting and animating 'high-finance', and what to do about it, Keith P. occasionally emerges from the obscure depths of the Youreapeon forests to eye the current world, growl a few obscenities and lurch back into the darkness whence he came.

Agreed

Totally agree.

The change has to be made throughout the world, as the existing party systems worldwide have been taken over by bribery and blackmail and are used to maintain strife and plunder everywhere in the interest of the corporatists and the financiers who support them.

You probably will never appreciate it, but it is no exaggeration to say that everyone on the planet is currently working for one family and the tribe they support. Read about the Fed and the IRS and you will see how true this is.

But the planet is not their milch cow, and we are not their slaves, even though this is how we are used.

It is suggested that a third way is put into operation, by which populations nominate independent representatives who will vote independently on their consciences for the general good of any proposal, and who can be replaced at a moment's notice if consistently out of step with the wishes of those who elect them. And bribery or undue influence will mean summary execution for both bribers and bribed.

In this way we can have true democracy, and we can dump the party system and the financiers and their financial fantasy forever.

Sorry if you have seen this before, but it is important enough to be repeated if necessary for it to sink in.

Otherwise the present inflicted nightmare situation of venal, malignant politicians in charge of the planet and its arsenals will continue to its inevitable conclusion. - For their pockets? And for their perverted appetite for control?

The world is meant for better than this, and it is our world. So let's take charge of it.

How?

First we have to inform all the people in the world - for obvious reasons, via internet will be the only way - that we, the people, are taking control of our own destinies. And this is the non-violent way.

This will be via no-party independence. And the only way to do this is to organize ourselves in all our countries to nominate an independent representative per, say, one hundred thousand people, a person who is valued for honesty and incorruptibility - it could be a road-sweeper or a cleric or a mother. That person must be prepared to vote on simple disinterested conscience yes or no for the general good of any proposal, and must also know that he or she can be replaced at a moment's notice for failure to act in honest transparent independence. There are to be no leaders, only impartial servant-monitors to convey and implement the results of the representatives' decisions. Any further attempts at corruption or influence will be terminal for both participants.

We ignore and shut out the corrupt party system, dismantle the present stage-managed electoral process, clean out the administration and civil service functionaries, and break forever the grip that the fantasy of finance presently has on our world.

And if you don't know what it will mean, I can show you the unalloyed benefit of abolishing finance altogether, which is really quite something. If I explained the fiction of 'the economy' to you, it would open your eyes to the reality of what is being done to us and what is really possible.

Overhauling the system of organization and converting it to the production and distribution of necessities to the simple matter of supplying need will be child's play now we have computers working for us.

Well, ask yourself, will you object to the freedom of eight month's holiday per year, without the need of money ever again?

No taxes, no debt, no wars, no hunger, little crime, little or no dishonesty, little or no hardship, no doing bestial things fifty weeks a year because you have to have the cash to pay the Rothschilds' benefit of taxes or interest or mortgage, no more deliberately-sabotaged education for our children, the media can be honest and informative, no more disruption from fomented immigration, no more planetary overheating due to all the unnecessary work . . . Will you object? - or anyone object except, of course, the Rothschilds and their corporate friends who were already thinking the world was theirs, with us already on the skids off it -

This is fair and impartial administration by the people for the people.

What say we go for it?

- In fact, can we afford not to go for it?

If you are for it, pass it on.
