The agency that is supposed to be helping the nations veterans, instead builds roadblocks to that help, creates an appeals system that leaves many claims in limbo until the veteran has passed away thus making the issue moot and no compensation due.

This is not what the American public expects.

If parents knew that this is what their sons and daughters were actually signing up for when they join the military, how many of them would encourage it? My own family has served the Army since 1776, all as NCO's or privates and we are proud of our service, but myself I can not encourage my sons nor daughters from enlisting, because there is no guarantee the VA will take care of them if they are exposed to chemical weapons or nuclear contamination while in service, look at the record of the Cold War era veterans in regards to these problems, our VA is less than honorable when it comes to these issues.

What is the next President going to bring to the table?

I for one plan on asking them.
