If Congress can determine an election by swearing in a candidate in a close and hotly contested election before all the votes are counted and the election certified, and thereby prevent the courts from ordering a recount or audit, the issue is not whether or not the candidate who is sworn in actually won or not, but whether winning an election has to be decided by We the People voting, and having our votes counted completely and accurately, or whether Congress can decide elections without regard to the will of the people.
The decision in the CA50 case will determine whether we still have any shreds of democracy left, or whether we are now living under corporate tyranny, where corporations, through their financial support and media control, determine the candidates, corporations, through their privatized voting machine systems and with virtually no public oversight, determine how and if votes will be counted, and Congressmembers who are deeply beholden to those same corporations can decide who their colleagues will be without regard to elections at all. This may not seem important to large corporations and the people who represent their interests in Congress, or to elections officials who are closely linked and dependent upon machine vendors, but nothing is more important to voters. If our votes are our only voice in government, we want our votes to count and to be counted, not to be disregarded by a Congress that would prefer to install their hand-picked cronies instead.
The decision in this case could have an impact on the contested race in Florida, where the Democrats have said that they are going to install the Republican, but plan to permit further investigation which might overturn the election. If the Republican Congress which intervened in the CA50 case gets a favorable ruling in the CA50 case, it could block the new Democratic majority from even investigating, no less overturning the contested Florida election, and could be binding on all future elections.

I'm an anti-civilizationist and election boycott advocate in San Diego. Thank you for the first hand report from the epi-center of the fight for the American voter's Constitutional Right to a clean and fair election process.
The fact that you were there proves that you walk the talk.
If 51% of the rest of us did the same, all at once, we could fix our Nation in a heart beat.

Thanks for the excellent report, Mark. This time, the news comes not from the Lodi Sentinel, not from the LA Times, not from the Washington Post, but from the Folk !
Good work. This piece and all of your other work on election reform deserve a much greater audience.
As you and I both know, the marionettes in D.C. are currently very hard at work at showing the world just how Democratic the USA still is. And we know, yes, we both know the last thing those on the Hill want is a REAL revamp of the way we cast our ballots.
HCPBs !! Absentee Ballots from overseas 1st, visible and recorded !!
