The Democrats in particular who are counting on the anti-war vote in 2008 better re-think their center-right strategy on Iraq.  Peace voters will have three campaigns pulling them away from the two parties.  If the Democrats run away from peace voters they risk losing the election. Nader-Gonzalez, Barr-Gravel and Cynthia McKinney have tripled the pull for the peace vote.

and let's not forget the economy;

all 3 "top tier" Republocrats are also beholden to the same pro-war and global corporate hegemony financial sector interests that are responsible for and have massively profited from the housing bubble and meltdown, and will profit enormously from Paulson's plan to give the treasonous Federal Reserve increased powers with less public oversight.

There's a dime's worth of difference in the "top tier", and a dime's become worth less than a penny under the Fed's management of the economy, while our country's infrastructure decayed and most of the wealth created by our nation was transferred to immoral and corrupt elites who moved it and entire industries important to national security offshore to nations like China who we may well be fighting wars with over the world's decreasing oil supplies in the next couple decades, save a massive shift to conservation and renewables, and a more just social order, one in which the People's will is done by our government, and elites are allowed to speak and vote just as everyone else, but not allowed special influence in the media and government.

Right

We have two powerful war parties.  If one is for peace, it simply doesn't make sense to view the election in terms of which war party to vote for.

The last two years at least the Senate has voted unanimously to give Bush every penny for the military he requested in his budget. Obama, Clinton and McCain vote identically on this. In the House, there have only been a small number of dissenters.
