I want to suggest that it’s important to keep an open mind because we need to watch out for Dennis and his wife. He will doubtlessly need the public’s support to carry on his work. Even if there was no foul play with his brother’s death, it is still possible that Dennis’s safety, his wife’s and other family members may be at risk, considering how brave and truth-oriented he is. Wrong-doers want the truth to be literally buried away. So we must keep an open mind to all possibilities as a matter of social duty. That’s my suggestion.
Please write Dennis a card and offer him thoughts of hope and strength. Our heroes need our support, and Dennis is one of those heroes. And please let's pass word along about impeachment and signing Robert Wexler's petition. If there is any one thing that ranks as THE most important things we could ever do----possibly in our lifetimes----this would be the one thing. Thank you.

Very thoughtful and considerate, Kathryn.
I wouldn't put it past them to have a hand in it, although I'd hesitate to make the allegation as well until there's evidence ( if that's what really happened). But, you never know... Dennis needs plenty of support right now -especially because of all of the factors you mentioned... I hope he is able to find strength and comfort in the many who support his candidacy and all that he does! A short letter of encouragement is in order... -Bid by C.Bid (0 articles, 7 quicklinks, 7 diaries, 739 comments [2 recommended, 0 rejected]) on Saturday, Dec 22, 2007 at 11:16:36 AM

Dennis Kucinich
Thank you for this article, Kathryn. History contains too many examples of the "accidental deaths" of those who oppose an administration's bloody policies for us to rule out violence. The plane accident of Paul Wellstone is one more example. Every year, on the anniversary of his death, I send a reminder of what Wellstone stood for to everyone on my email list. by Beth Grimes (3 articles, 0 quicklinks, 0 diaries, 25 comments) on Saturday, Dec 22, 2007 at 1:08:11 PM

Kathryn you ask for people to send a card
do you have an addresses to post that card to by any chance? As a foreigner I will not be voting in any US Presidential elections in far away november of next year but speaking in my capacity as a human being Dennis Kucinich is my absolute favorite living American right now. BTW: Things can change very quickly in politics Kathryn. What you say a Conyers staffer said to you a little while ago might not be Conyers actual position. Conyers has had ample opportunity very recently to make his position clear to constituents with an eye and an ear for a signal that Conyers hasn't totally forgotten his oath. Also, if you only heard what Conyers views were via second or third parties you can be sure that they told you Conyers exact views. When what is at stake is something as significant as impeachment for high crimes or treason of a sitting President and/or vice President the stakes are very high and many people will have many views and offer many tips on ways to get information and insight. Not all of those are equal or even accurate. This is why audit trails and documents matter. When one has the truth one wants to persuade others of that truth. What Conyers says in front of an audience when he knows he is being recorded carries more weight than what a staffer says to a person calling over the phone. Good audit trails can help truth holders show the truth to other truthseekers that are trying to traverse the sound and fury of political noise. by Brett Paatsch (0 articles, 3 quicklinks, 23 diaries, 1308 comments) on Sunday, Dec 23, 2007 at 9:07:19 PM

Needed support
It is an understatement to say that Dennis is in need of our support. I have no doubt he feels down after the death of his brother. But at least the fight to pursue impeachment is gathering followers. This last weekend, at our booth (www.InsuranceTease.com) at the Telegraph Avenue street Fair in Berkeley, CA, I passed out over 250 copies of a page spelling out what the general media won't, that the House Judiciary committee is asking for signatures of people wanting impeachment proceedings to move forward. Funny thing, Not one person was dissapointed about the news. Some were down right elated, and one teared up for joy. Several people I spoke to said that they had already signed, but my activism had inspired them to do the same. No one is paying me to tell people about this news. No one is twisting my arm. I am just a patriot that wants justice to be served - preferably on a silver platter. the news of a fire in Mr. Cheney's office I believe IS the smoking gun that the Bush administration was looking for in Iraq all this time. The threat of terrorism isn't on some distant shore, it's right here at home, hiding in plain sight. And the fact that the media machine of FOX, CNN, NBC, PBS, and whoever else that won't touch the story just smacks of collusion. (Duh) But to have that collusion thrust so hard into our face seems an act that only slightly falls short of pronouncing the bith of a new totalitarian state. Perhaps we are fooling ourselves still in thinking that we can ever come back from the brink of total constitutional obliteration, but if we are to have any hope of keeping our country a country of laws we have to support both Cogressman Wexler in his efforts to impeach our Vice President and Congressman Kucinich's bid for the oval office. by InsuranceTeaseDOTcom (0 articles, 0 quicklinks, 0 diaries, 43 comments [3 recommended, 0 rejected]) on Sunday, Dec 23, 2007 at 9:13:21 PM
