As to what I believe is the best revolt-explaining economic parameter: U.S. income inequality grew last year, as the richest fifth of households took home 50.4 percent of all income, their largest share since the government began tracking the data in 1967.

For fellow paranoid conflationists out there consider this. The annual Census Bureau figures on incomes in the United States don't tell much about America's upper-income set. Census statisticians don't tally income dollars over $999,999 a year. Now, who would want a lot of detailed data on those people?

Let the bad economic data keep coming. Eventually, the economically screwed will finally stop consuming enough to send a shudder through the system that reaches the economic aristocrats. Perhaps then some changes to produce economic justice will be made without violence becoming the answer to our delusional democracy with its delusional prosperity.

This should be our new national motto: FREEDOM FOR ALL, PROSPERITY FOR FEW.
