If it's like that with people, doesn't it make sense on a larger scale as well? Surely the current scheme, brought to you by the military/industrial/media/government complex, is that of a failed state. And that might be okay except we, the people of the failed state are likely to get screwed hard in the takedown.

Solutions? Personally, don't buy the rhetoric. Keeping connected, living in a sense of peace and love is where it's at.

Politically, it starts with our government, who's predilection toward empire-building is a plague on our planet. Corporatism and war are what need fixing, and we want to keep our eyes on that, in spite of the damn gays getting married. We owe it not only to ourselves, but to people and communities everywhere on the planet to throw these bums out.

Finally, we do what we are doing. We're re-making culture right here on that whacky World Wide Web. All kinds of samples and examples of marvelous, human, progressive thought and action bubbling up, if we but poke around to find it. Terrorism, like terror, has no home where there is no strife and no will to power.
