But when these same paid off jokers of the House or Senate are trying to slip one by, a demand of anonymity is the watchword of the day.
“Who the hell threw strike three? I never even saw the ball.”
“Anonymous.”
In this particular case, ‘every effort’ is code for patronizing the wild-eyed religious-right Republican base—that old ex-Democrat stronghold that Republicans bought off with a long and racist list of ‘thou shalt nots.’
The tide seems to be turning in America among young evangelicals who have had enough of mega-churches and Mercedes missionaries. It can't possibly happen soon enough. "Mr Bush, tear down that wall."
Barry Frank, a top official at IMG, which represents sports, fashion and entertainment personalities, said:
"Look, baseball is basically becoming a Hispanic game. And don't forget who their employers are -- men of considerable means and power. The owners are not going to let their stars get away because of some silly Washington law. I think you're going to hear some noise."
In a point-spread between Barry Frank and the United States Congress, you just gotta put your dough on Barry. ________________________________________________________ Media comment;

I suppose Elite is subjective and depends on your perspective. For example;
Elite Trailor trash would live in a triple wide with a chain link fence with a gate. A concrete strip to park your 2000 Taurus. A lamp post and a side walk to the front screen porch.
I don't buy into the illegal immigration thing much. It's just about making poor people blame other poor people for their financial tribulations. You know,like, if it wasn't for those dang Mexicans, my house wouldn't be in foreclosure. Or something equally as stupid.

People who have developed beyond the 14 year old level...
At 14, most Americans have solidified their thinking into a template which they will never challenge or change for the rest of their lives. In fact they spend the rest of their lives defending this template from challenge and they certainly don't seek out challenges. The elite is made up of those people who are lucky enough to develop a taste for coming into contact with unusual and even unpleasant ideas which make them uncomfortable, at least for awhile. They like smart talk, smart books, smart writing, and even smarts for their own sake.
