Election Lessons and Why Kucinich Ought to Be the Next President

Civil Rights

Kucinich will repeal the Patriotic Act, which allows the civil rights of the American people to be trampled upon. The Patriot Act has allowed the government to eavesdrop in our communication over the phone or Internet. The current administration also allow the right to jail, torture and even kill anyone without judicial or legislative oversight. He will end all of these unconstitutional policies. Kucinich will also provide free education (pre-K to college) to every American. Moreover, he supports same-sex marriage, which is according to him, "Because if our Constitution really means what it says, that all are created equal, if it really means what it says, that there should be equality of opportunity before the law, then our brothers and sisters who happen to be gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender should have the same rights accorded to them as anyone else, and that includes the ability to have a civil marriage ceremony."

With all of those visions, I believe a Kucinich presidency will move America in the right direction as well as the rest of the world. It's time for real change --a peaceful, loving and compassionate world. All I can say to everyone, "He lights up America in Congress...now let Kucinich light up the world." Thank you.

The only permanent thing in this world is change. But sometimes, we have to do more than "waiting for the world to change." That's what Jamie Santi believes in. She advocates for changes she believes in; which will push humanity towards the right direction. Humanity must move away from the barbaric ways of the past like raging wars with each other. It's time to make this world a better place for ALL; Where all of us can accept each other no matter what differences we have. There's nothing impossible in this world, unless we truly believe in ways of love, compassion, and peace.

Inform the voters

If these elections were run on the Issues, I can't imagine Dennis K. losing.  I'm always amazed at how many people don't even know who he is, let alone that he's running for President.  My fondest hope is that he follows through on his 'Impeach Dick Cheney' campaign.  He'll put impeachment back on the table....where it belongs...and it would put Dennis K. in the spotlight...where he belongs.

The filing of a formal 'Bill of Impeachment' would (maybe) drive  Ms. Spears off the front page; and I agree that Dennis is very persuasive--and impressive--in person.  He knows what he's talking about...and he does not bullsh_t ...two traits that are readily apparent to anyone observing him.  Alas, we don't get to observe much of him!  Why, I still haven't heard whether he wears an American flag pin or not!

Sorry

Sorry, but we must have a president who is capable of reading and understanding the US constitution. That leaves-out Kucinich.

Kucinich

M Bennett, Kucinich does understand the Constitution. You're probably the one who doesn't understand it.

Comments on article

I would like to make a couple corrections to the article. In your article you stated government should be for all not a majority few. I believe you meant minority few not majority few. A few is a small minority not a majority. Also the phrase not for profit should not have been put in quotes as quotes change the meaning of the phrase. Other candidates proposals for a carbon tax have nothing to do with fighting global warming and climate change. Carbon tax would be a regressive tax thats about redistributing wealth from the poor and middle classes to the superwealthy elites.
