Tell A Friend

Blame for American ignorance falls squarely on the shoulders of the media: Lou Dobbs, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Faux News; every day they make Britney Spears a headline story over health care; every day they do a puff piece about a cat stuck in a tree. The 6 o'clock news in America has the substance of cotton candy.

Working-class Americans did everything the focus-group-tested, peer pressure commercials told them to do: they bought a big television, and Dish or cable programming. They watch the news at 6. And what do they get?

A lack of education. A lack of information. Obama spoke the Truth. And the media will crucify him every time he does until he plays ball with the Big Boys. That will be a sad day.

Shame on the New York Times for aiding Obama's attempted crucifixion for telling the "bitter" truth--and to exert its revenge via a play on the hearts and minds of its white, working-class readers whom Obama is trying to help.

This effort to put Obama on the ropes before the Pennsylvania primaries is so brazenly orchestrated that it will backfire. People are already getting sick of the "Same Old Refrain McCain" techniques of political warfare, crafted by the Bush administration and Karl Rove.

People are sick of the same old refrain and see through continued media attempts to sabotage the primaries. This effort to paint Obama as an elitist goes too far in the direction of right wing tricks and attacks. The voters in Pennsylvania will see this for what it is: a manufactured media flap.
