"Let me assure you, my friends, this is an incredible page-turner... a fantastic story that pulls you into the personal lives and deaths of the characters, while at the same time incorporating 9/11 truth and world history, especially relating to oil and Saudi Arabia, that most mainstream fiction readers just won't get from any other books. No wonder Steve is a #1 best-selling author--I was not be able to put this novel down -- it definitely kept me up late into the night!"

Re:Pilots for 9/11 Truth Joins Growing 9/11 Truth Coalition
Thank you Mr. Douglas for this article.
I'm certain Mr. Alten's novel will be well received by those searching for answers and who're are also intrigued about what really happened on 911. However, as you've mentioned there are now prominent pilots who've joined up with an esteemed theologian, along with many other respected voices seeking the truth about what really happened on 911. How exactly do they go about conveying their important message without being received as utter loons?
The corporately owned media will continue to respond to this as if it were the plague! And National media attention is what's needed in order to awaken the populous to the truths. An incredible page-turning novel can only reach so many. Perhaps having these pilots and scholars on as guests on the Oprah Winfrey Show? Ahhh! Now would do the trick. Winfrey's audience is huge! Sadly, ABC ain't gonna touch it. A tad bit too tin-foil hat for their liking? Maybe those at ABC already know the truth and are just too afraid to go public? So we continue turning the pages be it web or paper.

Geez, thanks for that inspiring New Years forecast.
Geez, thanks for that inspiring New Years forecast. Let's all pull out the razor blades and arsinic :-)
But, seriously. We have a short time on this planet to do what we can. Steve Alten's novel gives a big inroad to a much larger audience.
We don't fight wars . . . we fight battles one at a time. Here's one worth fighting for . . . get everyone you can to read it, email everyone you know to read it and urge others to read it, and blog, and mention it on call in radio, etc. etc.
This life is to light candles with, not to damn the darkness. Cheer up folks. New Year . . . new hope!! GET ACTIVE !!

Uncle Tom's Cabin made slavery a real issue before the civil war. Most people prefer fiction to expository prose. The movie Charlie Wilson's War is very powerful because of what it left out (namely the fact that we lured the Soviets into the Afghan war).

Right, literature is POWERFUL . . . and America loves action
Right, literature is POWERFUL . . . and America loves action fiction.
When you all read "The Shell Game," you'll see that what makes it powerful is what it leaves "IN"
This action fiction novel is a powerful tool we all can use to spread truth out to people who would never pick up a leaflet or watch a documentary.
But, something tells me that after they read "The Shell Game," they will be much more curious about what those leaflets and documentaries are saying. Which is the author's goal.

on the other side of this ethernet a silent world watches and waits. applauds everytime another voice adds weight to the evidence so compelling as to be a tsunami., truth of a lie glaring us in the face like a fist blocked by some strange formula from the potent tools of justice and truth and honour amercia held out to the rest of us as its immortal right of place, now, in light of the commission report, a joke. A bad joke.
But.Everytime it gets spoken of, another whisker adds onto the balance., and one of these days its going to tip.

Re:Pilots for 9/11 Truth Joins Growing 9/11 Truth Coalition
Mr. Douglas:
Happy new Year!
I'm glad you enjoyed my "inspiring" New Years forecast. If I could just note, there's no need for the razor blades or arsenic :-)
What's needed Mr. Douglas and as I've stated earlier, is if Mr. Alten could be a guest on a National Media forum such as NPR's Fresh Air to discuss his riveting new book, Shell Game. The Winfrey show would also be an ideal venue.
I've provided a link to an excerpt of Mr. Alten's cautionary tale, which I intend to purchase.
Oh, sorry. Glad you clarified that, I miss interpreted.
Yep, I agree completely with what you are saying. If we, as 9/11 truth seekers, who now number in the tens of millions in some ways, and the thousands as hard core committed truth demanders . . . will use every creative technique we can devise, to drive "The Shell Game" up to #1 on the NY Times best seller list . . . then we can do our part to assure it gets media attention.
We only need to get 30,000 or so sold, to make that happen. The 9/11 truth movement members alone can purchase several times that many books, and if we all buy an extra to give away as gifts, "The Shell Game" could break all sales records for that first month.
That would FORCE mainstream media to talk about it, no matter how it gags them :-)

Re:Pilots for 9/11 Truth Joins Growing 911Truth Coalition
Mr. Douglas:
I just finished re-reading your brilliant 2006 piece, Exposing the 9/11 Conspiracy Wingnuts.
Imagine if just have half of the intelligence experts, respected scholars and well known celebrities you've mentioned in your article were to be invited onto The Oprah Winfrey Show? She's such a powerful woman and perhaps a bit too credulous. In any event, she and her producers ought to be contacted with the credible 911 Truth information that's been compiled. It's imperative, and as you've stated, that a full fledged national debate with experts from all sides be interviewed on national media. This is the only means to resolve this matter.
I was once an Iron Worker who's seen the massive core columns up close being erected at the base and lower floors of several of the high rise buildings here in Philadelphia, Pa. Those steel columns are enormous, as were the ones at the World Trade Towers. There is no way that each and every connection would have collapsed in the manner in which they did. It is just beyond comprehension!
If I could just note that it is rather futile responding to one Mr. Murphy.

Yeah, I'm beginning to get the "Murphy" phenomenon :-)
Yeah, I really believe that if we 9/11 truth seekers, who now number in the millions, will all not only buy "The Shell Game" but get copies for family members, and post recommendations for it everywhere . . . it could set sales records.
THEN, the media couldn't avoid having Alten on to talk about 9/11 truth.

And don't forget the family pet! I bet it'd like a copy of the brilliant masterpiece "The Shell Game", brought to you by Cedar Fort Books. An entity that needs its $50,000 USD advance it gave to Mr. Alten last summer - back (and quick)! Fido will love the low-fiber content of the cover on which to gnaw, and the book's ink is soy-based so that your pootch need not worry about compromising heavy metal contamination! Buy your pet's copy - today!
As always, münchen, thank you for the ringing endoresments! As you must know, I base my critical thinking solely upon what others (you, in particular) are thinking. This is what the "Masters" mandate, or so Harold Smith in other comments here has told me.
