He's also the one who helped formulate arguments to justify the administration's lawlessness regarding torture. He seems to have no respect for the law, or for the rules, or for the Constitution, or for the traditions of our country. Hardly the spirit one wants in the nation's chief law enforcement officer.
And then there are questions for Gonzalez, assuming him to be the person who pressured Dominici to break the rules and O'Neill to insert the stealth measure transferring power from Congress to the Department of Justice: whose bidding were you doing? Did you come up with these ideas on your own, or did this whole scheme, with its improper politicization of the judicial process and the improper meddling with the legislative process, originate with Rove or with his boss, the president. (Or did it perhaps come from that fellow next in line to be president, the same guy who sent Scooter Libby on his law-breaking missions?)
Let the questions begin. Let's get started cleaning our house.
