If what they say on Law & Order is true and you can indict a ham sandwich, then this case against BushCo has enough meat on it to look like one of those giant New York deli Reubens. The regressive criminal machine is well-oiled, well-organized, and by now, quite experienced at election thievery.

I'll be surprised if, in '06 and '08, there aren't numerous mysterious statistical deviations, wholesale purging of Democratic voter records, a glut of voting machines in regressive precincts, but not nearly enough in Democratic ones, inaccurate exit polls, and a cowed media and opposition that would rather die than bring any of it up publicly.

If we're content to allow our elections to be controlled and manipulated by people who couldn't care less about our welfare, then we probably deserve what we get.
