While American Muslim organizations have welcomed the apologies offered by President Bush and the Army commanders, they pointed out that the actions of our men and women in uniform reflect on the U.S. government and people and such incidents contribute to damaging America's image around the world. Executive Director, Samina Faheem Sundas of American Muslim Voice, was not surprised to hear about the Quarn being used as target practice because “since 9/11 our administration has created a culture of fear, hate, anger and division among all Americans which has resulted in Islamophobia.
