Is stealing from the poor and ignorant—worse than copying (stealing) music, movies, games, and software?”
Isn’t a limb a part of the same tree?
What have we done? Who have we become? How did we get to this stage of life?
How many of you reading this can admit to these facts and include yourself in that number of lairs and cheats even though you may feel that no one got hurt in your file sharing some song a friend sent you P2P that you then sent on to another friend who sent it on to another, who sent it on to . . .
And so the story goes on and on.
We are all lairs and cheats in this imperfect world, and likely as not: we don’t want to be reminded of it. We don’t want to be what we despise the most in life. Do we?
This article began with one cold, hard fact that cannot be overlooked, though rarely is addressed: the truth hurts—and the truth is —that we, on a personal level, must first begin to correct this problem like taking our first step in life.
We must learn that we cannot and should not become what we hate the most about the ‘haves’ when we are the ‘have nots,’ daydreaming our days and nights away, living our massive lie that millions, or yet billions share in, though practically all refuse to admit to.
Remember: to correct a problem, you must first know where the trouble lies.
Welcome to the real world—as we know it: the here and now.
