It is enough with one US military adventure for that purpose - the Gulf War which George H. W. Bush claimed kicked the Vietnam syndrome once and for all.

That case of US military aggression was – as is becoming the norm - bolstered by lies at home ( a PR campaign riddled with lies and exaggerations to create public support for US intervention in Kuwait/Iraq war [i]) and abroad (US officials produced incorrect images of Iraqi troops build up on the Iraq/Saudi border to show to the Saudis to get their approval for stationing US troops in Saudi-Arabia [ii]).

McCain has shown he is willing to sell another military escapade with whatever means it may take.
Fortunately for him and his handlers, it will be easier than ever.

 

 

Here is what McCain will be given along with the President’s office:

  • Expanded Presidential Powers
  • Expanded Executive Branch under Presidential Control
  • Military Presence, Agenda and Engagement
  • The NeoCon Support System
