So, as Obama returns from his vacation, having had time to contemplate
the inadequacy of his previous strategy, I am hoping that he will
demonstrate that he has the perceptiveness and the creative
adaptiveness to resume the battle in a new way.
It would have been good if he'd made such realizations and such
adjustments within a couple of weeks, rather than a couple of months,
of when he began losing that battle. Now his power and his
support have declined. Now he's in a position where he has to
blow on the embers rather than just feed the fire.
But the sparks are still there, and the Force can still be with him.
