Just one legal question remains unreconciled: Would the present Supreme Court likely find for the Constitution and those gay and lesbian couples seeking protection under it?  Thinking about Bush v Gore and Lily Ledbetter v Goodyear Tire and Rubber . . . Yeah, fat chance on that one.
