"Yes, and we think they are wrong to propose their list without even considering our much more well-thought-out set of sins," countered Pat Robertson. "The nerve this guy has to go over our heads here and just proclaim the list as the be-all, end-all new- sins list is as much a sin as sin itself. At the least they could have come on my program, 'The 700 Club' and made their position known to me. They might have even bought a small video ad that we would have direct-mailed as a DVD to our new members. But they didn't do that did they? Not a chance."
Director Lessin then announced "this press conference will end with the viewing of our latest video about the new presidential campaign of former presidential candidate Fred Thompson. Many have likened him to a southern-fried Ronald Reagan. One minister has even compared Thompson's public speaking abilities with his fans to watching Rembrandt paint the chapel ceiling.
