Starr anticipated the reason behind the early death of the story in the U.S. and European media. Even discussing the escalation in weaponry would show the utter hypocrisy of the Obama administration with regard to the Ukraine. It is not all right for Russia to allegedly ship in heavy weapons to the resistance to defend their cities. However, it's perfectly acceptable for the U.S. puppet regime in Kiev to use major battlefield weapons to attack its own citizens and escalate the use of arms in the conflict. You can't have it both ways and the administration is all about having it their way all the time.
Deeper motivations for ignoring the story
Obama-Kerry and their masters are winning the propaganda war through one tactic - make sure that the U.S. and European media use only the administration's narrative on the Ukraine conflict. Their assumptions are that the public is stupid and can't use the Internet to review news from around the world and that the facts about the U.S. supported coup and the various outrages committed by Kiev will stay hidden forever.
Here are the most salient developments that point to the ultimate folly of the news suppression strategy to support military aggression - words that dare not speak their name:
- U.S. claims that Malaysian MH17 was brought down by a resistance missile battery lost footing when the Russian military revealed radar findings showing the presence of a Ukraine air force jet near MH17 just before it went down.
What was a Ukraine attack aircraft doing in the area of MH17.
- U.S. claims that it had proof that the resistance fired the missiles that allegedly shot down MH17 were undermined when a U.S. intelligence official leaked information to Robert Parry indicating that the site of the missile launch was manned by personnel in Ukraine military uniforms (Airline Horror Spurs New Rush to Judgment, July 19).
If the White House releases its satellite "proof," what will it prove?
The entirety of the current U.S. propaganda campaign is based on pinning the deaths from MH17 on Russia (i.e. Putin) and the east Ukraine resistance. As efficient as Obama-Kerry and the rest of the war party are at suppressing the news and dominating the public debate, a finding that the U.S. installed government in Kiev brought down that plane would expose the administration as the most callous liars to occupy the White House in some time, total bumblers, or both. Take your pick.
