From the floor of the US House of Representatives, Congresswoman Jackie Speier lambasted Limbaugh for his misogynistic hate speech and called for advertisers to stop funding his radio show.
Congresswoman Speier also gave a powerful interview on military rape on CNN calling for investigation of allegations of rape outside the military chain of command, where there sometimes is "a gross conflict of interest."
U.S. Sen. Carl Levin of Michigan, Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, asked Armed Forces Network to stop airing Rush Limbaugh's radio program. "I would hope the people that run it (Armed Forces Network) see just how offensive this is and drop it," Levin, a Democrat, told CNN.
