What Washington will not tolerate is a foreign government that acts in the best interests of its own people instead of favoring US and Global Corporations. Any country that uses its natural resources for the benefit of its own people will be attacked with a "Color Revolution". These attacks are almost always over natural resources. This is the fate now of Ukraine at the hands of Obama.

Hasn't the US and NATO had enough war in the past 14 years? Weren't the failed wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Syria enough death and destruction for the dogs of war? How many millions of civilians have to die for the profits of the military industrial complex? Apparently there is never enough of either death or profits. The US has left a wake of chaos in its path of wars.

As the war criminal Madeleine Albright said, it is "worth it" if a half-million Iraqi babies die as long as it furthers US foreign policy goals (HERE ) . It is so easy for these foreign policy experts to sacrifice other people's babies for their war objectives. We don't see any of them sending their own children off to war.

David Swanson the tireless peace activist has proposed many good ideas to end war. One of them is that in any future wars, all high ranking government officials and national politicians should have to send their own children to the front lines in combat roles.

In a few years Malia and Sasha Obama will come of military age. If it is so important to "stop Putin" then sending the Obama girls off to war is a small price to pay. Will you sacrifice your daughters Mr. President? Of course we know that is never going to happen.

Most of the war mongering neocons wouldn't fight when they were of combat age themselves. The Dick Cheney's, George Bush's and Donald Rumsfeld's were expert at dodging the draft to avoid their own baptism of fire in Vietnam. The war mongering neocons and their children never fight their wars themselves.

Timothy Garton Ash in his column says now is not the time for diplomacy to stop Putin. That is ridiculous. It is always the right time for diplomacy to avoid war. Nobody ever dies from talking.

The victims of wars are always mostly the old, the young, the weak and the defenseless. Once war starts nobody knows which direction it will take. War is always a gamble and a roll of the dice. The outcome is uncertain and almost always much worse than anybody ever predicted.

One would think that after 14 years of failed US-NATO wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Syria that the main stream media would have learned to urge more caution and diplomacy before resorting to a call to arms.

Instead Ash brings up metaphors about the need to "kick ar*e" and stories of Putin winning the propaganda war. Ash calls for stepped up anti-Russian propaganda from the BBC to overcome the common assumption that Kiev is being run by a bunch of Nazis.

Europe has caught the American disease of historical amnesia and has forgotten the devastation that it suffered from two World Wars. Instead of the Guardian presenting cooler heads calling for diplomacy, it lets Ash rant away at whipping up war hysteria.

Ash says that only "guns can stop Putin's guns". Of course he will be leading from the rear. The main stream media needs to take it seriously that a confrontation between the US and Russia could turn nuclear and destroy Europe and the planet.

Just a little over 100 years ago Europe set the stage for war. All it took was a little spark. On June 28, 1914 in Sarajevo the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria was assassinated touching off WW1. At the time it was called the war to end all wars. It wasn't, but WW3 will be.
