We as citizen journalists may do lots of good where the mainstream Press leaves off.
We can....
Digg important stories such as impeachment matters getting at least a little bit of floor time (and stress that this beginning will lead to bigger things later).
Vote, vote, vote DIGG stories to the very top of the page, and ask others to do the same.
Send chain emails all over the place, asking that they be forwarded
Write letters to the editor, the college newsletter editors and underground press
Dial in to radio talk shows
Take cell phone videos and post them to the Web
Sign up with three different blogs and post whatever articles we write to all three of them
On each article we write, specifically state that permission is granted to spread it all over the web, to quote it in letters to the editor or anywhere else, etc...and this will help to spread word. Because as you know, many things will not be published without specific reprinting/quoting permission. And your request that it be spread around is sure to generate some proactivity. Without any further effort from you.
Mission Accomplished! We beat the mainstream press.
People are tuning in more and more to alternative news sources. Politicians are tuning in because so many people are doing the same.
Let's take advantage of this golden opportunity, while we still can!
And, speaking of "While we still can"....work in every possible way to unseat this dangerous, greedy, selfish, unethical and fascist Congress! Ask for arrest warrants from governments overseas not only for Bush and Cheney, but for each and every member of Congress who voted for war funding based on lies! Indict them as war criminals in letters to the editor and college newsletter editors. Get them out! That's our only hope to get OUR America back.
And if you ask me, it makes zero sense to actually pay to fund our own abuse, and to pay for officials who do nothing but violate the Constitution and the public will. Out with them, (almost) every one! Go for it. Because I promise you, it will never happen without YOUR help.
