2. Barrack Obama will want to establish his bonafides in Foreign Affairs. He may be willing to pull U.S. troops off the Arabian Peninsula in return for a Sunni Dictator in Iraq with American Weaponry at his disposal to stand as a buffer between Iran and the Arabian Peninsula, Lebanon and Israel.

Americans forget the Iran-Iraq War and the hatred Sunni and Shia have for each other. American Foreign Policy for too long has failed to take advantage of this fact. Video of Iranians and Iraqis rushing headlong into deadly chemical weapons by the thousands is evident of the depth of this antipathy.  The fact is that the WMD's developed by Saddam Hussein were meant to be used first against Iran and not Israel and most certainly not the continental United States.

U.S. departure from the Arabian Peninsula will not affect the strategic interests of the United States. The fact is that the Moslem extremists of the Arabian Peninsula will never win for two fundamental reasons:

1. Topography: Unlike the Jungle topography of Vietnam and the Mountainous topography of Afghanistan which favors the insurgents the desert terrain of Arabia does not benefit insurgents. Only the dogma of political correctness that prevents the firebombing of cities like Fallujah protects the insurgents from utter destruction.

2. Natural Resources: Nation States like Russia, China, and Canada are rich in a multitude of natural resources which they can sell or use for the development of their own infrastructure.  Arabia only has: Oil.  When the United States commits to using less oil and developing other sources of energy the process can begin of bankrupting the Arabian Peninsula.

The old adage of: "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" can help the United States. Both Russia and China are faced with Islamic Radicals within their own nations and from Central Asia and would be willing to assist the United States in breaking the economic back of Islam.

While the Press focuses upon the somewhat tenuous relationship between Obama-Ayres it overlooks the established relationships between a President Obama and Richard Lugar and Colin Powell.

The Republican Richard Lugar has always been close to Barrack Obama and cosponsored with Obama the Lugar-Obama Nonproliferation Agreement which President Bush signed into law.

With the possibility of Colin Powell endorsing Barrack Obama it opens up the possibility of Colin Powell becoming a Secretary of State or Defense in an Obama Administration.

Colin Powell has learned from Vietnam the lesson of:  "Overwhelming Force" and "Exit Strategy" which may serve a President Obama well.

What will an Obama Administration have in store for America?

Tick Tock. Only time will tell.

 ~Lewis
