Now, Adamson submits that our partisan political-economic system prevents us from having government of the people, by the people, or for the people. And that’s true. That has become obvious, especially during the seven years since he wrote his first book and published his first web site.

As most people now know, we have government of, by and for the wealthiest few, who control the lobbyists, the politicians, the banks, the stock markets, the large corporations, the oil companies, the drug companies, the credit card companies, etc., etc.

Over the last 28 years they have succeeded in getting Congress to reduce and even abolish regulations that were meant to protect us and our environment. They’ve gotten their taxes cut more and more, and they practically have free rein. And the consequences of that are painfully evident to the vast majority of us.

Adamson suggests a better way, a way in which we can actually establish truly representative government that is of, by, and for the people.
