It includes a provision to use taxpayer monies to bailout foreign companies; a provision that was largely unknown until this afternoon.
Whether it will work or not is another matter. It's really the Big Apple---the biggest game in the house. The Paulson Plan is all in: its putting all of the United States government's money, hence the taxpayers' money, on the table.
The world is an uncertain place. The Paulson Plan raises the stakes.
