Diamond Body by Cat Edwards

Set your intention this New Moon to bring the wisdom and knowledge you have worked hard to gather up into the light of day.   It's time to share who we are and what we believe with others so we can pool our resources, witness the passing of an age and help birth a new one.

This Libra New Moon becomes a part of the ongoing Uranus/Pluto square along with Jupiter in Cancer.   These five planets, at least one in each of the cardinal signs, form a cardinal grand cross--two oppositions and four squares.   Cardinal signs begin the equinoxes and solstices and move life forward.   This powerful energy field demands self-discipline and moderation to make the best use of it.   We want to move things forward without being impulsive and ill-prepared.   We need to develop strategy, patience, inner balance, and consistency to handle this energy.   When we do, we will create something new.

While the square between Uranus and Pluto marks a major turning point for our culture, the square between Uranus and Jupiter challenges us to take stay open to more personal change, change that can surprise us as well as meet our needs in unexpected ways.   The square between Jupiter and the Sun/Moon can bring us inner and outer growth and a deep concern for social justice, while the Pluto square to the New Moon demands deep and lasting change in the way we see the world.   In short, be prepared for more changes and stay balanced in all your interactions with others.

With Uranus in Aries opposing this Libra New Moon, we are challenged to find our freedom at the same time as we give others that same courtesy.   If we would be free, we must allow others their freedom.   Once we can step back and see that others are not acting against us but rather, are acting for themselves we can begin to develop more win/win strategies.   Once again, be true to yourself and open to the Other.   Pluto opposing Jupiter makes us conscious that the needs and goals of society have to align themselves with our personal needs and goals if we are to effect real change in the world.

Wake Up! by winstonsmithnyc

Every area of our culture needs renewal.   Where we have promoted war, we must now temper it with real justice and understanding to achieve peace.   Where there is social injustice and an imbalance in power, we must insist that we are all equal.     Where we have unconsciously created dangerous climate change, we must now find ways to create a sustainable civilization.   Where we've created and dispersed poisons in the air we all breathe, the water we all need, the earth which sustains life, we have to find the way of transformation--discovering just the right chemical reaction to create a healthy environment and a healthy life.   Where we have been selfish consumers, we must now become conscious caretakers.   Where we've created false addictions to food, sex and drugs, we need to understand the loss of heart that leads to them. Where we allow chemical companies to control our food supply, we must put food back in the hands of the people.   Where big money now rules the world, we must find a way to teach every woman, man and child that they are free.    And where we continue to allow men to have dominance over women, we need to achieve the balance of true partnership, because it is only when feminine and masculine energies mix and merge do we discover a new creation.

Libra represents any kind of partnership as well as the idea of Justice.   To be fair does mean you need a balanced perspective.   In my Libra Emerging Archetypal Themes blog (coming out next week), I will be discussing what equal partnership looks like from the perspective of the ancient Celtic people, who recognized 10 forms of marriage and grown-up divorces.   Our insistence on only heterosexual marriages and the resulting childish and cruel divorces do not have to be the only way to make and break relationships.

Change yourself and you change the world!   Evolution happens.   As the energies of change sweep through the world, we can bring about peaceful changes if we stay true to ourselves and act on our values. We can stop blaming those people who are afraid of change and starting taking the steps to create change ourselves.   It is time to act.   On November 1st, the 4th Pluto/Uranus square occurs.   We're half-way through the process.   It's time to manifest.

We're entering eclipse season again in two weeks, another marker for change.   Prepare yourselves!

Blessed Be!

Cathy

I believe that Americans are called to a higher consciousness at this point in our history. We are called on to live up to our ideals and create the country our forefathers imagined. Inner consciousness needs to be acted upon for social justice.

Cathy believes that our writers and artists must take up our responsibility to create art that inspires, teaches and heals our humanity.

Cathy writes about political, psychological/spiritual, and cultural issues.
