Nazism is a state of mind which assigned itself to the political movement. The actual functioning of it, the practical realization in Hitler's Germany was its final stage, the stage when it transferred from the psyche to ideology, from an individual feature to the disease of the masses, the same way the virus can wake up in the carrier and transfer to other people like a fire. That's when we see it open and clear and then it is a disaster to all. But in its everyday form Nazism is a state of mind and it is within everyone of us. It is one of our character features and each of us carries it: liberal and conservative, Mitt and Barack, white and black, Christian, Jew, or Moslem. We are related to Hitler as Thomas Mann put it. In its rudimentary description internal Nazism is the self- preference of the world of LIE over the world of the TRUTH as well as active desire to fortify that LIE at any cost on one and only one basis only- what's good for me is good for everyone. Nazism is the grotesque totem of selfishness, the little Ayn Rand buzzing in your head: you, you, you, only you. And if you turn on the TV and just try hear at least one clear message through all that GOP howling, this is what you will hear:
Love yourself, adore yourself, admire yourself- it is good for you and we are here to help you do it ( for a fee, of course- MS).
That's Nazism, folks. It is awake and stares at you. It is legitimized in the GOP methodology to deliver their message.
People who did atrocities are called Nazis by us due to what they did. But in reality they had Nazism in themselves and let it go rampant when the environment made it possible. Our environment here, in the US ( and I hope here we agree) is very much comfortable for the development of the virus of Nazism: I would argue that it is the most nourishing environment in years. I think the virus will not miss the opportunity; it is the country of opportunity after all.
We are all simple people and we crave easy answers. Those answers are there for us always: they all start with the premise that you are the salt of the Earth, that you are a very good person, that there are people there that do not want you to succeed or you would be as rich as those who deliver the message: they look exactly like you. The temptation is great: whether those messengers are proponents of German race or proponents of the wisdom of the Rich- they all offer you the hope of the belonging and supremacy; they all are optimistic.You like them. You follow them. You surely imagine yourself being like them. You adopt the model. And then you become a Nazi.
So I repeat my challenge to the good authors of OEN: please, if any of you feel capable of writing a deep analysis paper on the topic I had just explained, do that. To jump start this effort I would like to refer to two sources:

-Evert mentally disabled person in Germany costs about 30 marks a day. There are about 300000 of those in the country. How much money annually would the German nation save if all those people were compassionately euthanized?'
