Of course, the reason behind this enthusiastic doomsday cheerleading many Christian apologists will tell you is, they believe they are preparing the road for the second coming of Jesus, who will then rapture them away from all the pain and suffering in the world – much of which they, especially American Christians, are responsible for through their blind support for a warmongering American government.

After all, it was the religious right that was the driving force behind the election of Saint Dubya, patron saint of torture and the cluster bomb – twice.

I wonder if the Armageddon gang feel let down now that a kinder, gentler, war-mongerer is taking over in the White House?

But don’t worry kids. Barack ‘flip-flop’ Obama has already reversed his earlier positions on a quick withdrawal from Iraq.

Now Obama says he’ll pull out of Iraq, but only at the advice of the war maniacs and military experts in Washington; now he's for a big military build up in Afghanistand; and, he's ominously silent on Israel's bombing of civilian targets in Gaza. I thought Obama was for peace. I must be mistaken. Obviously, Barack is a huge fan of G.I. Jesus. He must have a really sore ass from all that flipflopping!
