This cascade of negativity and disrespect, in addition to being not very well thought out (some brands of "socialism" actually present some very successful and viable alternatives.  Just ask Canada or Sweden) it is downright and quite simply a pathetic smoke-screen.

Since so much of the blame does belong with the previous Administration, it is ridiculous for anyone to insinuate that "blaming Bush" will be the action taken by the left if Obama's policies fail.

Just so we're on the same page, and in case you haven't noticed, I'm a Democrat, far to the left, and I'm vigorously blaming Bush right now.  I'm hoping the stimulus helps (I don't know if it will, and frankly neither does anyone else) but I applaud our President for stepping up to take the bold action that turning this disaster around now requires.  I feel better and more hopeful every time I see him speak, and the economy does seem to be manifesting a somewhat stronger pulse.

It's alarming to read comments such as the ones I see out there now, indicating that a very vocal, name-calling, disgruntled, disempowered, and utterly disgraced group of right wingers will actually stoop to the level of attempting to falsely discredit a man who has been in office only a few months for trying to clean up a bloated, toxic, disastrous mess that was created by the reckless spending and immoral, illegal actions of Republican elected officials.

Psst "Republicans" really want to place some blame?  Look in the mirror my friends.
