John's wife Vicky, [polygamists usually have one officially married wife and other wives are not official] requested the Mormon doctor to go to the mortuary and report to her the nature of her husband's death since she had not been allowed to view the body.
The basis of the summons given to the good doctor, challenging both he and his wife for their membership, was an allegation of "cavorting with known excommunicants". They were excommunicated and of course distressed at such an injustice. No civil court can or will intervene in such an injustice. Usually some dispersion is afterwards cast upon the moral character of the excommunicants to disguise the true reason for the action.
I do not pick out the Mormon Church as an exclusive entity violating the rights and commerce of individuals but only as an example of how absolute authority as acquired by the religious empire, has absolutely corrupted it!
The world-wide religious empire has far too strong a hold on the life and death of members of the public because of its safe and protected position as an exclusive imperialism. All other issues aside, this world will not progress to the freedom it needs until such time as the religious empire is dismantled!
