Every time an investigation was conducted by the FBI the result was the same: "We find these groups to be no danger to America." That was the answer.
Why?
Early on the Ukrainian Nationalists knew the power of the propaganda machine. A slight twist is enough deflection to blur a point.
In 1936 the OUN publication The Nationalist stated its position pretty clearly:
"Nationalism is the love of country and the willingness to sacrifice for her...A person brought up in Ukrainian Nationalism will make 100 percent a better AMERICAN CITIZEN than one who is not."
"Was it nazism, or fascism that guided Washington, Lincoln, or other statesmen to make the U.S. a world power? Or was it American Nationalism?"
But, in 1936, the Ukrainian Nationalist leader Konovalets was already guilty of crimes against humanity.
That fact makes the spin in the OUN publication incredible! What they are saying is that, if George Washington was not a Nazi, neither are we. Think about that one. They are justifying all their atrocities already committed, and those that were shortly to come, by making themselves equal to George Washington.
If the few samples of Ukrainian Nationalist atrocities already cited--out of many--mean anything, why were they simply brushed off? One reason is that, before World War II, the OUN and UCCA groups were working for what would become the American CIA . By the 1970s, as we read in the book by Myron Kuropas, the Nationalists had been fully accepted by the Republican Party. And, today, the propaganda machines of the UCCA (Ukrainian Congressional Committee of America) and the Obama Administration are in overdrive. Both of these entities are violating federal and international law with their involvement in Ukraine.
Is All This Important Enough To Worry About with Reference to the Current Conflict?
What might be important is that a few days ago 300 mercenaries arrived in Kiev. I am now hearing from the same sources that 17 U.S. warships are now also en route.
That is important!
These same sources are also saying that the First Deputy Ambassador from the Czech Republic stated that the current Ukraine government, in a meeting with EU and U.S. representatives in Kiev, signed over the gas transportation system in Ukraine to Chevron, as well as land in Kharkov-Kharkov, Ukraine's second-largest city and an opponent of the Maidan, to NATO for missile defense and fighter aircraft. In addition:
- Three regional metallurgical plants signed over 50% ownership to the German company Ruhr.
- Donbass Coal signed over coal production to the Finnish subsidiary of Ruhr.
And this is very important:
In response to the steps the EU and the U.S. are taking, the Russian war machine will soon be parked forever on America's doorstep.
Litmus TestsNow, let's ask the critical question. If the Ukrainian Nationalist groups have not changed or softened their politics in all these years, are they necessarily the same old Nazis capable of new atrocities? Just click on the following links for some clues:
