Some of the most dedicated and diligent activist Democrats seeking to get out the vote are feminists with long memories and well remember Specter's activity in the Anita Hill incident.  How many of these individuals can Rendell and his operatives convince to "stay the course"- by working actively for Specter?

This group will never warm up to Specter.  To be successful a Rendell general election success with this important element of the Democratic Party base will hinge on efforts to get feminists to move past anti-Specter sentiments in the interest of helping Obama pursue an agenda in which common interest, notably in health care legislation, can be achieved.
