The soda tax is a two-cent issue in a trillion dollar world. It makes the liberals who passionately advocate for it look meddlesome and petty. It reflects badly on the entire liberal project at a time when liberal solutions to real world problems are more needed than ever.
But the liberals still have hope. Maybe, when they enact their tax on toilet paper to save our oceans from overwiping, the people will fall in love with them.
