Most conscious Haitians saw it as France's not too subtle further pummeling of Haiti's disenfranchised majority to gleefully celebrate, on the sacred year of Haiti's bicentennial, their victory at landing French soldiers on Haitian soil, for the first time since the African warriors of Haiti beat them out of Haiti, in combat, in 1803. During
that bad-omen-visit, Gerard Latortue, the US-imposed Prime Minister to
Haiti from Jeb Bush's Florida, used the inauspicious occasion to
publicly and pompously declare that HE was voiding President Aristide's
and the Haitian people's demand that France pay back the Independence
Debt.
At that point, Ezili's HLLN wrote:

un-Constitutional Prime Minister at that! to annul, by a statement,

The
bad omen continues for Haiti with the first ever visit, on February 17,
2010, by a French President. Nicholas Sarkozy's landed today in
Westernquake-shattered Haiti and was greeted by puppet Haitian
President Rene Preval as a brass band played the Marseillaise. He
toured a French field hospital, had a news conference on the grounds of
the collapsed Haiti National Palace, and surveyed the millions of
suffering descendants of the African warriors who defeated his nation
in combat through the door of a helicopter, like a flying buzzard

In Le Rwanda et Haiti 12 ans après, Stanley Lucas, former head of the International Republican Institute ("IRI") explained why Rwanda, known for getting rid of almost one million of its own people, in less than one year, is his inspiration and the model for "progress" that Haiti should emulate! IRI is headed by ex-presidential candidate Republican John McCain. France, along with the United States and Canada, have had control of Haiti for six-years now since they removed Haiti's democratically elected government in 2004. Haitian life for the poor masses has been an unmitigated tyranny ever since. Paralleling only the first US occupation in 1915. And their man-made coup d'etat's, weakening of Haiti's government and control of Haiti when scientists actually predicted an earthquake, is perhaps instructive on how to bring a recalcitrant country under the IMF/WB fold that they've now got Rwanda under. For the earthquake and subsequent militarization of aid, with no rescue or relief may be seen as but the Disaster Capitalism way to finally attain the Rwanda-like result of one-million summary depopulation of Haiti they and their Washington Haiti Democracy Project group, have been gunning for. What Can You Do:
on the occasion of French President, Nicholas Sarkozy's visit to Haiti? The first visit ever by a French president to Haiti since the African warriors got rid of their human trafficking trade, enslavement and colonialism?
Stand in solidarity with the oppressed and disenfranchised Haitian masses, the hurting and wounded earthquake victims who have been struggling against re-colonization, re-enslavement and financial colonialism for centuries:
1. Demand an end to the occupation of Haiti by the US, France, Canada and UN, now. And return of the Independence Debt from France. See, HLLN's Campaign Seven - (scroll down to #7.)
2. Sign our petition demanding return of the Independence Debt
3. Send letters to your nearest French Embassy or consulate with an open letter copy to Sarkozy. Mail copies to the international media, near and far.
