To argue that a taxpayer's money is going to some use that he or she disapproves of is utterly useless since the tax when paid belongs to the taxing authority and its pool of duly lawful obligations created by legislation.
If the protestors want to change things then they should dump out of office all incumbents and replace them with new faces with a mandate at the next election. It isn't going to faze any of them by a march to Washington!
If six hundred thousand or a million people want to assemble in protest in Washington D.C they should do so at the door of the Federal Reserve and demand the Congress terminate the Federal Reserve in 2012 when its authority expires. Then follow up by requiring the US Treasury to mint and print money of the people and ending interest compounded or simple on any obligations of the government.
Most Americans are not aware that the Federal Reserve is not Federal but private and that it was created by a conspiracy of foreign bankers on Jekyll Island off North Carolina and put into effect not by the Congress but by President Woodrow Wilson during a recess of the congress in December 1912.
