If it were equal, then I would say  ‘that’s ok, because, you know, “free speech” and all that stuff should guarantee each side the right to be heard EQUALLY.’ .

But I would stake my grandmothers’ paisley shawl on the fact that the Republicans will not allow anything similar to this ‘war room’ to take place at THEIR convention and I would bet my grandfathers’ tomahawk that Republicans will howl loudly and cry ‘foul’ if any Democrat talking points are ever, at all, brought up to counter their convention speeches which they will loudly be proclaiming against the Democrats.

Are Democrats going to stand idly by and let these “sneak-thief-denizens--of –the- dirty-deal-and-the-double standard” hamstring Democrats’ time in the national spotlight by GOP canards launched  in the form of distracting ‘news maker interviews’ that are sure as heck, by breaking in to pre-empt and steal Democrat thunder, going to help tie the hands of the Obama-Biden ticket so that the public can’t get a chance to hear both messages equally clearly and then be able to make up their own minds as to which candidates they will choose?

An  important principle we have learned over the years is that political power especially in an election year, emanates from those who control the Establishment media (e.g., the major television networks and radio stations and newspaper and Internet wire services).

I hope that rigged and phony “centrism” of the press won’t

cause the media, out of fear of Republican charges of ‘favoritism’

toward Obama to water down coverage of the Democrat campaign speeches while silencing and later locking Democrats  out of their talking head analyses so as to cover up GOP shortcomings. We have seen this happen already in the lack of coverage of John McCain’s history of corruption by the mainstream press, while this same press concentrates on every little defect in the Democrats.

I guess in our election this year, as in 2000 and 2004 the GOP is intent on never again allowing a Democrat to occupy the White House.  Election fraud, congressional corruption, White House malfeasance all go hand in hand with the manipulation of the national press.

The press is good at putting forward the image of a functioning democracy when in fact there turns out to be none. And that same manipulated press can easily  cover up facts of vital importance that need to be conveyed to  an asleep-at-the-wheel-public if we are not to again be hoodwinked by the Republican Establishment.

Is it going to be a rigged parlor game this time?  Those who watch events know we are ruled by oligarchic interests that buy off Congress and put their hand-picked person into the Whitehouse and that they the press to herd the public into voting for the candidate they have already pre-chosen and ordained to be President.  The mainstream media are kingmakers. Let’s not let McCain get away with his 'rapid-slander' attack strategy to get his nose  under the tent by hook and most certainly by crook. I am an American citizen, and I approve this message..
