Then again, with our history of slavery, Jim Crow and lynching's, the genocide of indigenous peoples and now the widespread killings of young black and brown men, even black kids with toy guns by an increasingly militarized aggressive police, maybe our torturing of suspects fits in quite nicely with our sordid past and present.
When a monster such as Cheney is not only free from any real investigation and prosecution for his admitted crimes authorizing torture, but also given prominence on a Sunday talk show saying "I'd do it again in a minute," we've reached the depths of outright depravity.
