Instead, the banks would rather spend money taking Sheriff Dane to court to force him to evict people. So far, Sheriff Dane has prevailed. His rationale for prevailing is simple: “My job as sheriff is to follow court orders, absolutely,” he said. “But I’m also in charge of making sure justice is being done here and it is clear that justice is not being done here.” An easy solution to a problem. It cuts into profits of the banks, so therefore it is untenable to the banks and politicians. If banks would get with the program of logic and common sense, billions of taxpayer dollars could be saved and the economy would begin to rebound. Kudos to Cook County Sheriff Tom Dane. As a former member of the Illinois State Legislature, he should take his idea and concept of fairness to Springfield and do something positive with it, over the objection of the banking lobbyists. This makes sense for America and the economy.
